Frequently Asked Questions

  • What Is Veriplace?

Veriplace is a developer platform that lets developers remotely locate users' mobile phones.

  • What does it cost?

It is completely free to remotely locate smartphone users. Commercial terms are available for those developers who need greater coverage or otherwise have advanced location needs.

  • Which phones can I locate?

Veriplace has access to location from most smartphones, which we make available for free, as well as access to location from feature phones on tier 1 mobile carriers such as AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. See the supported phones page for details.

  • What kind of applications can I build?

Any application that can access the network can interface with Veriplace. Web apps, mobile web apps, voice apps, and SMS apps can all be location-enabled.

  • Are professional services available?

Yes. Contact us to inquire about professional services.

  • I'm not a developer. Can I use Veriplace?

You can use Veriplace to share your own phone's location with the sites and services you trust. Start by creating a Veriplace account at veriplace.com.

If you are specifically looking for a phone locator service, we can recommend The Lost Phone, AT&T Family Map, or Sprint Family Locator.
