What Does It Cost? (back to all tutorials)

Veriplace charges for each successful location request against a real user, including Developer Mode users. (There is no such charge for access to simulated location nor is there any for requests related to Veriplace staff certifying or testing your application).

Location costs depend on the Location Mode used to make the request.

The Zoom Location Mode attempts to locate the user as specifically as technology, user settings, and conditions allow (striving for street or neighborhood level certainty).

In contrast, the Area Location Mode tends to give a broader sense of the user's location (neighborhood or city level certainty) at a lower cost.

See the Developer Guide for more discussion of location modes. As of this writing, the Zoom and Area modes charge $0.049 and $0.025, respectively, to locate a Developer Mode user.

Commercial pricing for your application to locate non-developer mode users (after certification) must be worked out with a Veriplace representative.
