Who Can Be Located? (back to all tutorials)

While in development, your application may locate only a limited set of Veriplace users. Because of the privacy concerns of locating real people, your application must be certified in accordance with the Developer Terms Of Service before being given access to the full user base.

Your application can always locate simulated users, but this is of limited use outside of development and testing. You will obviously want to see the power of real location before investing in your application.

Prior to certification, the easiest way to obtain real location is to register one of your own devices as a Veriplace user and put it into Developer Mode. Users with Developer Mode phones can be located by applications that have not yet been certified.
