Create Your First Application (back to all tutorials)

As a Veriplace developer, you can create one or more applications with access to the Veriplace API.

  1. Step 1: Request keys for a new app

Go to My Projects in the Developer Portal and view the My Apps subtab. Click the Request keys for a new application link to begin creating your application.

  2. Step 2: Tell us about your application

Choose a name and enter a description for your application.

You will not be able to choose an application name if another developer has already chosen it.

  3. Step 3: Review your credentials

Veriplace provides each application with a set of credentials that can be used with the Veriplace API.

    Keep your credentials secret!

The application Consumer Key and Consumer Secret are the most important of these credentials. They are required every time your application uses the Veriplace API.

You will need to understand the OAuth protocol when you start writing your own application.

  4. Step 4: Application(s) in Development

That's it! Your application is now provisioned for development.

You can now define the Branding, Customer Support and End-User Notice for your application. Veriplace requires this information to be completed to certify and publish your application. See the Publishing Your Application tutorial for more details.
